In celebration of Father’s Day and families everywhere, this summer Park Hyatt is proud to support Sons+Fathers, a beautiful collection of memoirs dedicated to the bond between father and son. Inspired by Bono and the drawings he made of his father toward the latter years his life, The Irish Hospice Foundation went on to collect the writings, poems, thoughts and songs of prominent men throughout industries around the world.
Understanding that special bond, Tom Pritzker, Executive Chairman of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, contributed his own special forward to this moving book, which is featured in guestrooms at all 36 Park Hyatt hotels worldwide. His story tells of the collaboration he and his father had when building their “home away from home” – the Park Hyatt hotel in Chicago, IL. This would become first of many Park Hyatt hotels, a brand rooted in family legacy, celebrating exceptional food and wine, contemporary art and design and highly personalized service.
We hope guests are inspired by this book, and we welcome everyone to share stories of their own family legacies and memories with #SonsandFathers. To learn more about the origins of Park Hyatt, click here.
Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa is proud to host the 2015 FIS World Alpine Ski Championships as the official lodging partner of the highly anticipated event. These games are the largest and most impressive collection of ski racing talent, second to the Olympics, and the iconic property, celebrating its 25th anniversary in Beaver Creek this winter, represents the distinguished center of the action.
Some lucky guests will even get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take in the races with former Olympians Phil and Steve Mahre. A customized package at the resort features unfiltered access to the brothers – from taking in world class runs and learning ski secrets to hearing about their medals over dinner.
For guests who are more skiers than spectators, steps away from the action rests the heart of the beautifully quaint Beaver Creek Village, with unparalleled ski in-ski out access. The hotel’s spacious guestrooms and private balconies offer luxury amenities and sweeping mountain views, making it the ideal destination for enjoying the races.
